GI Map
A DNA-based microbiome map test that examines a variety of pathogenic microbes – parasites, bacteria, viruses. These interfere with the body’s natural mechanisms by increasing inflammation, disrupting the gut barrier, pumping out toxins and histamines and reducing absorption of key nutrients.
This test also includes testing for key intestinal health markers that can be indicative of inflammation, immune reactions to food, gut barrier integrity, tissue damage and digestive enzyme levels, among others.
Some conditions where the GI Map can assist in diagnosis, clinical interpretation and understanding of pathophysiology include:
Autoimmune diseases
IBS/IBD
Digestive complaints, diarrhoea or constipation
Brain fog
Inflammatory conditions
Skin problems like acne and psoriasis
Mood disorders, depression, and anxiety
Diabetes and weight loss issues
